You have the chance to help a local hero get recognized as an NC School Hero. Lois Moye, an Oriental resident, was nominated by her former student, Jenny Jones. Jones said Moye, “has made an impact by helping students develop a good mindset before entering the adult world. Her methods of teaching are like any other, making her lessons fun and easy to remember.”Moye teaches math at the high school. She has also been the Math Department Head, Homecoming Organizer, and the BETA Club coordinator, according to Jenny’s description. If Moye makes it into the ranks of NC School Heroes’ top ten vote-getters, she and Pamlico County High School would each receive $10,000.
