Obituary and life story submitted by the family

obert, fondly called Bob, moved to his next existence on Sunday evening March 19th, 2023.

He was at home on 210 Blackwell Point Loop Road in Oriental, NC 28571 surrounded by his loving wife Linda, his sister Jamie, his stepson Brad, and his aunt Ann.

Bob was born on September 1, 1958, and was 64 years old. He fought his 10-month battle against pancreatic cancer with courage and grace. He is now at peace.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife Linda, his mother Barbara Kaylor, stepsons Brian and Brad Klimek, sister Jamie Connelly, and brother Paul Parker.

Bob was a gentle soul who was willing to help anyone at any time. He was a gifted photographer, talented builder, a poet, and loving grandfather to his four wonderful grandchildren.

He was the Captain for the Oriental Dragon Boat Club and encouraged and mentored so many people to take up the sport of Dragon Boat paddling and racing.

Bob Retired after 39 years as a national accounts manager for Vallen Corporation.

He and Linda loved to travel.

A memorial service will be held at Lou Mac Park in Oriental. The date will be determined in the near future. A celebration of life in is honor will be at home, in early June.
