The Ol’ Front Porch Music Festival is three days of music October 5-7. Yes, Hurricane Florence hit Oriental. It is taking a lot of last minute cleanup work to make it happen, but the festival goes on. Twenty-five performers are coming to town and they are going to play.Organizers have made disaster relief the focus of the festival. Funds raised will go to the Pamlico County Disaster Relief Coalition. The music begins Friday night, October 5, at The Red Rooster with The Hall Sisters and Tellico.
The Hall Sisters, four singing siblings on strings, play country-pop originals along with traditional country and bluegrass:
