10,000. That’s the number that’s needed to for the professional fireworks at the Croaker Festival, July 4th weekend. This year the fireworks are Saturday July 1st.

It’s all free to see: the parade, pageants, baking contest, regatta… and fireworks. The fireworks show is big. It gets paid for by donations from folks like you.

Thanks to donations, the fund is now at $12,435. The Croaker folks need around $10,000 to put on a the show. They’re asking for that, and a little more – to help reserve the fireworks crew for next year, too.

How to donate: Checks can be made out to “Croaker Festival” and either mailed to Croaker Festival, Inc., PO Box 1067, Oriental, NC 28571, or dropped off at Marsha’s Cottage at 204 Wall Street, Oriental.
