Aircraft Carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, viewed off Lou Mac Park. The carrier is visiting Oriental Saturday and Sunday as part of its Freedom Pamlico tour. It’s the first nuclear powered vessel to visit the village. Free tours are available… meet the naval launch at Lou Mac Pier at noon, 2 or 4p Saturday (boat shoes required).
