Isaias is a hurricane… now peak 80 mph winds. Isaias is forecast to arrive at eastern NC Monday with 75 mph winds – a Category 1 hurricane. The storm is thankfully still moving fast – 18 mph. While it It will likely be moving slower than than that when it gets nearer – it still will be proceeding at a fast rate for a hurricane. That makes for a briefer visit, and less storm impact to our area.
