Mermaids are hanging out at the Oriental History Museum. This one, by artist Laura Turgeon, is on loan from Grace Evans and is part of the Museum’s Mermaid exhibition. Sculptures, statuettes, tchotchkes, and even mermaid books are on display. Some were made in Oriental, some were made in Jamaica, and some from farther away. The exhibit runs through September and the Museum is open Friday – Sunday. click photo for the bigger pic and more
