New Year’s Eve, Oriental’s Dragon emerges, dancing down Hodges Street in front of the harbor. The Dragon appears twice: once at 8p, and again at 11:30p (ish). The Croaker drops from the town dock flagpole at midnight, marking the beginning of a new year.
