Saturday night was the first Oriental Woman’s Club Shine a Light Luminary Launch. Ninety-one floating lanterns with messages were set adrift from Lou Mac Pier. Proceeds from the event fund the OWCs scholarships and mini-grants for teachers in Pamlico County. (Click for the bigger picture and to see more from the event.)
