Rick Smith passed away at his home Tuesday, April 27. He was 76. Rick was a regular presence on The Bean porch in the mornings, and frequent participant in the parades and events in Oriental. A Celebration of Life will be held for him in late May. In this photo from the Spirit of Christmas 2014, Rick walks in the parade as one of ‘Eleven Piping Pipers’.
