The forecast track of Tropical Storm Iasias will be moving around a lot in coming days. At the latest update it has moved east – now more of a direct Beaufort / Ocracoke visit than Oriental. The storm now has peak 60 mph winds – and it is moving FAST – 20 mph. It will likely be moving slower than than that when it gets nearer – but still be moving at a fast rate for a tropical system. That will make for a briefer visit, and less storm impact to our area.
