Hurricane Ophelia's Visit
Reports From The Village
September 15, 2005

Ophelia's water levels rose all night....but at sunrise the water levels have begun to drop. We hope it keeps going...

At 8am the feel of relief is powerful. We still have a village full of water....but it is water on the way out. Here is a look around this morning:

The tops of the handrails are a very welcome sight as water begins to drop on Hodges St.

The TownDock dog checks on the power generation facilities.

The front yard view from our home....the yard on South Water St.

We were concerned that if water levels rose much more that Miss Peaches (Ray Everest's fishing boat rebuild project) may have been re-launched pre-maturely. Miss Peaches didn't move though....
Some members of the TownDock staff may be relieved to still see all of the Blue Bottle Garden did not float away.

More photos coming after 9am....
