The Oriental Food Initiative’s Food For Thought community read program continues on Monday September 26 at 6:30p with a discussion about Dan Buettner’s The Blue Zones Solution. It takes place at the Perry Griffin Fdtn Community Room on High Street, corner of First.

The idea behind Food for Thought is to read a book and then come together with others to talk about how some of the ideas can be put in to practice locally. You may even find things you can do right away. “The Blue Zones Solution” in particular, has a lot of such ideas.

OFI supports all businesses – farmers, shop owners, and restaurants – who make fresh foods available in town. It plans to hold the community book club discussions every 2-3 months. OFI also encourages you to check out the Food for Thought book swap – of books having to do with food – at the Provision Company.
