Oriental’s History Museum’s latest special exhibit commemorates the Oriental Woman’s Club 100 years of service and runs thru August. “Women Together – Making a Difference” covers the century of OWC thru its many projects – books provided to World War I soldiers, Cemetery Perpetual Care, Relay for Life, Girls on the Run, scholarships to Pamlico County graduating seniors, to name just a few. The museum, located at 802 Broad Street in Oriental, is open Fridays 11-3, Saturdays 1-4, and Sundays 1-4.. Admission is always free, though donations are welcomed.
