As the sun sets, find your way lit by luminaria on Oriental’s main streets – Broad, Hodges, Freemason and South Ave.
5-ish – Lighted Kayak Parade on the Harbor. A flotilla of small, unmotorized boats, lighted up, takes off from the Wildlife Ramp circa 4:45p. Those on the relative warmth of land should look toward the breakwater, close to the horizon, where the kayakers, canoeists, and paddleboarders first enter the harbor before parading near the TownDock.
5-5:30p – Caroling and Lighting of the Oriental Christmas Star at the Town Dock. Members of the Pamlico High School Choir will lead the way and keep things in key.
7p – Pamlico Chorale at Oriental United Methodist Church. A longtime Christmas tradition, the Chorale presents one concert on Friday and one again on Saturday. 404 FreemasonSaturday, Dec 10
