| A volunteer is needed one hour a week to assist the Yoga teacher on Tuesday afternoons with a small group of 12 year old girls. The girls love Yoga and will greatly appreciate your help - as will the volunteer instructor.

An Information / Orientation Session for prospective volunteers will be held on Thursday, August 24 @ 1:30 PM at HeartWorks, 709 Main Street, Bayboro. Meet some current volunteers and take a tour. HeartWorks has a variety of volunteer opportunities for folks interested in sharing their time with K - 8th graders. Over 150 students attend the free Afterschool Program at HeartWorks. Read with children, help with homework, give music lessons, play board games, teach Chess, Wiffle Ball, basketball, Yoga, Bridge, arts & crafts, etc.. Such enrichment activities make a positive difference in the emotional and physical health of many children in Pamlico County. A weekly commitment is NOT required.
