Artist Laura Turgeon is Drawing The Town

Fulcher’s Seafood has operated in Oriental for decades. Fulcher’s operates a fleet of fishing boats – they are the large trawlers you see in the Oriental harbor (or looking at HarborCam – the boats you see to the right).

But until last year Fulcher’s never had a retail location – their customers are restaurants and grocery stores all over the East Coast. In 2007 they took a tiny building on Hodges Street, added a colorful paint job… brought in coolers of fresh fish… and “downtown” Oriental had a seafood store.

If you stop by you’ll find Jeff, Buddy – and lots of coolers. While the store was closed in January and February – it reopened in March.
