eindeer, so the stories go, usually wait for their Christmas Eve gig close by Santa’s elves and workshops. In Oriental, a flock of eight reindeer has been grazing for weeks by the entrance to Deaton’s Yacht Service.

It’s unclear if this Oriental flock will hitch up and work as an auxiliary sled team on Wednesday night. They didn’t respond to queries, keeping a rather wooden demeanor.

Perhaps the most famous reindeer profile of all, though less animated than his TV version. The flock tended to find one stance and stick with it.

While some reindeer graze near Santa’s workshop, these do so near the busy Deaton’s yard where a boat was being moved via TravLift the other day.

A visit Monday found the grass low to the ground, though excessive grazing is likely not the cause.
