Vintage made in England but still fully functioning Hasler Self Steering Wind Vane for sale. Steer your boat by the wind and waves alone. This came off a 12T 38ft larger boat so it is quite heavy and for a bigger boat. Auxiliary rudder, all blocks and gears functional. Does not have air vane or lines. Everything else is there. Somewhat comparable to Hydrovane (rudder) and Monitor Windvane. this is a servo pendulum unit vs direct drive. This is the OG unit designed by the guy who invented servo pendulum self steering unit and built by his company. Any parts that might ever need to be replaced can easily be machined. Stainless steel brackets and tubing. Solid and looks really fun / functional for pennies on the dollar of what a new Monitor Wind Vane would cost. Practice seafaring with this Hasler Self Steering gear or use it for long distance ocean sailing. Type/Model "MP2" serial # 045, so 45th unit built. $300 |
