Bow to Stern Boating is seeking a seasonal person with potential for more. We charter boats, conduct sailing and power boating lessons, host camps for kids, and also offer marina services. In order to do that we need to keep boats clean and operational. One minute you might be cleaning a boat or working on an engine, the next you might be helping to dock a boat or on a different task. Our priorities change with demand of customers and equipment. Main responsibilities will be keeping boats clean and ready for charter but experience with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fiberglass, brightwork, boat handling, and other facets of boating are a certainly a plus. | Assist with the docking and mooring of boats, ensuring secure and safe connections.
Perform routine inspections of docks, pilings, and marine equipment to identify maintenance needs. Conduct repairs on docks, ladders, cleats, and other structures using appropriate rigging techniques. Maintain and operate basic mechanical tools and equipment to support repair tasks. Support vessel movement by helping with tie-downs, fenders, and other docking accessories. Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations. | An Information / Orientation Session for prospective volunteers will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 @ 2:00 PM at HeartWorks, 709 Main Street, Bayboro. Join us to learn about the program and take a tour of the facility. Volunteers are needed to help in the classrooms, tutor children individually or provide enrichment activities such as Chess, Yoga, Basketball, Drumming, etc..
Over 120 K- 8th grade students attend the free 21st Century Community Learning Center Afterschool Program at HeartWorks. Join us to learn how you can make a positive difference in the academic, emotional and physical health of Pamlico County children. A weekly commitment is NOT required.
