Arbor Day Memorial Tree Planting - April 6Members of Oriental’s Tree Board hold an Arbor Day and Memorial Tree planting Saturday, April 6 at 9a.
A live oak will be planted in memory of Bob Parker, who passed in the Spring of 2023. Friends of Bob and the public are invited to honor Bob, and to learn how to select and plant a tree to ensure longevity.
The NC Forest Service and the National Arbor Day Foundation granted Oriental the designation of TreeCityUSA for the 29th year. There will also be tree saplings from the Forest Service for interested attendees.
Join them at the NC Wildlife Boat Access ramp at the end of Midyette Street, in Oriental.
