The Village Gallery features Gosia Tojza, who returns as the Gallery’s featured artist for October. Painting in the style of the Old Masters, Gosia often paints primarily by palette, on canvas, in oils, watercolors, and acrylics. The subjects of her art reflect her traveling and experiences, capturing nature and a sense of place.

She grew up in Poland, traveled widely and has lived in 4 countries. She has worked as a hospice nurse and lived with her family in Apex, NC. Her painting is inspired by the works of her brother who was also an artist. Her subjects include shorebirds, boats, flowers, and abstracts from small to very large in size.

The Gallery is at 300 Hodges Street in Oriental. The Village Gallery is open from 10a until 5p Wednesdays through Sundays and displays the art of more than 30 member and consigned artists, primarily from Down East.
