Mt. Vernon Lodge #359 in Oriental hosts the ‘Superball Golf Outing’ on Saturday, June 12 to benefit the NC Masonic Home for Children. Held at Minnesott Golf & Country Club, registration is at 8a, shotgun start at 9a.

Registration includes cart, green fees, barbecue lunch, a Mulligan and a Red Tee. Prizes are $200 / $100 / $40 gift certificates for 1 / 2 / 3 places, as well as gift certificates for ‘Closest to Pin,’ ‘Longest Hole Putt,’ and ‘Longest Drive.’ Sponsors for one hole ($50) will have their name on the course, and Four Player teams will also have a special sign for $225.

This is the Lodge’s major fundraiser for the North Carolina Masonic Home for Children – Oxford (MHCO) and its graduating class. MHCO was North Carolina’s first home for children, and continues  to assist families in need by providing a home-like setting for children, together with community based programs and services to enhance its stable, supportive and nurturing living environment in order for them to reunite with their families or achieve independence. ALL sponsorship monies go to MHCO.
