This time of year, waterfowl return from their northern breeding grounds to winter here with resident and migrant songbirds, as well as hawks and owls.
You can learn how to identify the birds at the Winter Birding Class at Pamlico Community College, at 9:00am at Pamlico Community College for a slide show, discussion of migration, birding optics and techniques with a short field trip afterwards. Subsequent classes will be held in the field with early morning meeting times. Sheryl McNair will teach the class.
Class meets Tuesdays, January 15 –February 5. $35.00 per person (4 classes)
