MV Scorpio was hand built by John Worcester (with help from volunteers) at the Beaufort Maritime Museum’s Watercraft Center. It just won Best in Show at the 46th Annual Beaufort Wooden Boat Show. Click play to take a tour of MV Scorprio.

You may know James Shaw for his local rigging work. James lives on a 26’ Bristol Channel Cutter. TownDock talked to James about his new stainless (with brass and wood touches) single burner stove. Raindrop Ridge Herbs, aka Dorita Boyd, “The Herb Lady” – wa at the Farmer’s Market Saturday morning. Once a year Dorita brings herbs – both common and hard-to-find – from her nursery near Little Washington. This is the last time Dorita and her herbs will be here. Later this year, the “Herb Lady” will be retiring. The Farmer’s Market is open from 8-11a on Hodges Street.

On the water at the 2019 SailPack Regatta. The sailors are back in town this weekend for the 2022 SailPack Regatta.

Painting in progress on Don Henderson’s last project: a community mural. Don passed unexpectedly and left the mural unfinished. His family invite the community to come pick up a brush and help finish it today from 11a until sunset. Friday, you’re invited to a celebration in the garden from 5-6p.
