Broad Strokes Gallery presents their September Artist of the Month: Jay DeChesere of Wilmington, NC. Meet Jay and resident featured artists at the Artists’ Reception, Sept5 from 2-4p.

Jay DeChesere, a self-taught watercolor artist, began painting seriously in 2015. His work has been juried into almost 100 exhibitions, earning nearly 50 awards and being featured in four major art publications.

He is a Signature Member of the North Carolina and West Coast Pastel Societies, and of the North Carolina, Georgia and Southern Watercolor Societies. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina.

Featured Resident Artists are mixed-media artist Irene Goley and glass artist Rosalyn Kutchins. Irene’s work features vibrant, coastal themes. Rosalyn retired from industrial glass industry 13 years ago and now creates wearable art and functional pieces, often featuring abstract designs incorporating metal weaving and leather.
