Oriental celebrates the Chinese New Year with a Dragon Run on Saturday, January 25. At 2p, The Chinese Dragon and team are bringing on the Year of the Rat. (We’ve been in the Year of the Pig.) The Dragon will makes its run on Hodges Street by the harbor.

There are also associated “New Year” events the same day.
9-10:30a: Asian cooking demonstration at the Oriental Farmers’ Market on Hodges St.
2p: The Chinese Dragon runs on Hodges St
2:30-4p: Learn how to play Mahjong at the New Village Brewery
6p: Second Dragon Run at the Red Rooster, prior to the Dragon Burn
Village restaurants (and a grocery store) serve Chinese Dishes for the New Year.
