It’s said that there are children who only get breakfast and lunch due to the breakfast / lunch programs at school. In the months when there is no school – they can go hungry. Sailcraft Service is coordinating a Food Drive for the Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina – the goal is to collect food to benefit these children. The food drive is June 25 – 29, 8a – 4p … bring your donations by Sailcraft Service boatyard in Oriental.

The Food Bank needs: Canned Fruits, Vegetables, Meat, and low-sodium Soup in pop-top cans, Whole Grain Pasta, Brown Rice, Dried Beans, and Cereal, Peanut Butter. For Infants: Formula, Infant Cereal, Diapers, and Wipes. For Kids: Fruit Cups, Juice Boxes, Granola Bars, Crackers, Popcorn and Sugar-Free Pudding Cups.
