Volunteers are needed at the HeartWorks’ AfterSchool Program. Information / Orientation Session for new Volunteers is Wednesday, Aug 4, 2021 at 2p at HeartWorks.

Over 150 Kindergarten – 8th grade students who attend school in Pamlico County will be coming to the HeartWorks Afterschool Program for three (3) hours each weekday during this school year.

Read with children, help with homework, review math facts, do arts & crafts, give music lessons, play board games, etc.. Such enrichment activities make a positive difference in the emotional and physical health of many children in Pamlico County.

Volunteers choose the activity. A weekly commitment is NOT required. (If you are planning a big trip, don’t let that stop you from signing up to help.)

Background checks are required prior to engaging with the children. Prospective volunteers need to be fully vaccinated prior to the meeting on August 4.
