In November, Holly sailed from Maine to Oriental, leaving her boat here while working as marine technician on a research vessel in Antarctica. At the end of the month, she plans on sailing into the Caribbean to begin her solo circumnavigation.
During her talk on Sunday, she’ll discuss her job in Antarctica, her upbringing on a boat as her parents circumnavigated, and her own future plans as a sailor.
