The Jacob Jolliff Band performs at Holt’s Chapel Community Center, Saturday March 25 at 2p.
Jacob Jolliff has been playing mandolin since he was 7. He played in a bluegrass band with his father as a child, in festivals and churches. Jacob has since attended The Berklee College of Music in Boston, won the National Mandolin Championship in 2012, played with the roots music band Joy Kills Sorrow and progressive bluegrass group Yonder Mountain String Band.
Now Jacob has his own band. They’ve travelled to Australia and Scotland, and now they’ve come to Oriental to play at the Holt’s Chapel Community Center at 136 Janeiro Rd, Oriental, on Saturday, March 25 at 2p. The performance is free.
This performance is sponsored by the Pamlico Musical Society and a grant from North Carolina Arts Council.
