NAACP Meets With Commissioner Ollison - Mar 21The Pamlico chapter of the NAACP meets with Commissioner Carl Ollison on Tuesday, Mar 21 at 6p to discuss the vote by County Commissioners to make School Board elections partisan.
County Commissioners voted to make School Board elections partisan, 4-3. Ollison was one of three Commissioners (Carl Ollison, Pat Prescott, and Edward Riggs Jr) who voted against the measure. As a result of the vote, bill SB286 is now in the NC Senate, awaiting a vote.
This meeting focuses on discussion and questions about the actions of the County Commissioners. It will be held at the Senior Services Center, 800 Main Street, Alliance, NC at 6p.
