Oriental History Museum invites you to their newest exhibition: Honoring the Ol’ Front Porch Music Festival. Reception with wine and light refreshments will be held Saturday, October 17 from 1-4p.
The Fall Special Exhibit honors the History of the Ol’ Front Porch Music Festival. Inspired by the Ol’ Store where people gathered to play music. This three-day festival held each October celebrates the musical heritage of North Carolina on the front porches and venues throughout historic Oriental’s walkable village and on the Riverfront Stage at Lou Mac Park.
Visit the Museum to learn more about the inspiration for the festival, how it all began and how it’s grown over the years. View the museum’s collection of festival memorabilia.
This special exhibit runs through December.
Oriental’s History Museum is at 802 Broad Street. Hours: Friday 11-3, Saturday 1-4. Admission is free, donations accepted. The museum is a 501©(3) non-profit.
