Pamlico County Heritage Day will be held on Saturday, October 18, from 10a – 3p at the Pamlico County Museum and Heritage Center in Grantsboro.
There’ll be music, arts & crafts vendors, food cooked on site, a bake sale, demonstrations of chores done the old time way, such as corn shelling and washing clothes in a wash pot. The museum will be open and inside you can see their current exhibits.The one-room School House, the Mayo Barber Shop, and the Blacksmith Shop (with demonstrations) will be open too.
There is no admission fee, though donations are welcomed – proceeds go to the support of the Museum and Heritage Center which is located on Hwy 55 near Hwy 306 intersection (the Grantsboro light). For more information, contact the Heritage Center at 252-745-2239.
