Commissioner Frank Roe writes in to support the candidacy of Commissioner Bonnie Crosser. Commissioner Roe will not be running for another term; he is moving out of the area and has resigned his seat.As a longtime resident of Oriental and someone who has had the privilege of serving as a town commissioner, I have worked closely with many people who care deeply about our community. One of those people is Commissioner Bonnie Crosser.Bonnie brings a rare combination of professional expertise and personal dedication to her work. As a certified CPA, she has been instrumental in bringing clarity and transparency to our town’s finances. Her careful oversight and clear communication have helped ensure that residents understand how our tax dollars are managed and that important decisions are made with full accountability.
In this election season, I’ve noticed that some misleading information about Town matters and about Bonnie’s work is being circulated. I encourage residents to seek out the facts for themselves — meet with Bonnie directly, ask her questions, and hear her perspective firsthand. She is approachable, open, and willing to discuss the facts with anyone who cares about our town’s future.
Beyond her financial expertise, Bonnie approaches every issue with fairness, thoughtfulness, and a genuine desire to do what’s best for Oriental. She listens to residents, asks the right questions, and works collaboratively to find solutions.
Although I am not able to run for reelection this year due to moving outside the town limits, I remain deeply invested in the future of our community. I believe reelecting Bonnie will ensure that Oriental continues to benefit from her skill, integrity, and steady leadership.
I encourage my fellow residents to join me in supporting Bonnie Crosser for another term as town commissioner.
