The 2022 Hope Regala was back under the tent at River Dunes after two years going virtual. The annual event has many sponsors, but this year the biggest sponsor was Masters Wealth Management Group, donating $20,000 to the healthcare non-profit.

Live auction bidding, where the price for a year’s worth of pies went above $1,000.

A silent auction featured wines, paintings, and ‘Rides of Pamlico’.

The live auction had a plane ride with Frank Roe, a new Mercury Outboard motor, a gourmet dinner for 8, and more. A bidding war erupted for the year of pies (1 a month), beginning with an opening bid of $250 and finally reaching $1,100.

When it came time for the $10k raffle, Keith Smith of TownDock.net and Sheriff Chris Davis drew Deborah Carabello’s name from the basket. Hope Clinic Director Yolanda Cristiani gave Deborah a call while the patrons listened in.
