2022 Oriental Cup Regatta

odacious and TrailerTrash took first place in their divisions in Saturday’s Oriental Cup Regatta.

Eighteen vessels took to the water to compete. There were three classes: Spinnaker, Jib & Main, and the Cruising Class.

Light air was a challenge; winds were around 5 knots – sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less.

Often, a bit less.

One class didn’t finish at all – the cruising class started their engines and went home.

But there were two winners: SV Bodacious took first in Jib & Main. SV TrailerTrash won the Spinnaker division.

Profits from the weekend go to the Pamlico Coastal Activities Council which helps fund sailing scholarships for the Bow to Stern Summer Sailing Camp.
