Fishing trawlers at rest Saturday morning at the Garland Fulcher docks in Oriental’s harbor. The commercial fishing business has been affected by the coronavirus situation. Jeff Styron tells TownDock that business is down about 50%. Retail sales remain good, but restaurant sales are a big part of Styron’s business, and restaurants are now not buying. Garland Fulcher retail is open today 10a-5p. Curbside pickup has been available since late March – Styron explains.
