The Glass Slipper

We have a new density formula in place in town.

Wednesday night the Town Board voted to change Section 182 of the GMO on how much land is needed to build condos in town. Instead of the current requirement — 5,000 square feet for the first unit and 3,000 for the subsequent units — the new formula for the four districts in town where multi-unit residences can be built reads like this:

R2 6,000/6,000 R3, MU, MU1 5,000/4,000

That’s an improvement.

That is good.

Here though, is another number to wrap your head around.

Four months.

That’s how long it’s good for.

Til March 7.

Four months.

Brace yourself for another round of “Let’s Make A Needlessly Complicated Deal”

Details to follow.
