Croakerfest 2018 is happening on the weekend of Friday June 29 thru Sunday July 1. Headlining music act this year – The Embers, of beach music fame.

The Miss Minnow and Croaker Queen pageants are Friday at 6p.

The Croaker Festival Parade, honoring the camps of Pamlico County, begins at 10a at Ragan Rd and Broad St, snaking down to Hodges St in front of the harbor.

The Croakerfest Regatta Race begins. More info on registration and meeting times here.

Fireworks begin at 930p. The Bridge will close at 3p to get ready for the firework display.

(A scheduling note: Croakerfest typically takes place on the weekend-with-the-first-Saturday-of-July. Some years that Saturday has been as far into the month as July 7, which would have been the case again this year. The 2018 Croakerfest was scheduled far a week earlier because, Croakerfest organizer Cheryl Thompson says, it was the weekend The Embers could play. Another factor was the festival coming after the 4th of July.)
