Help out at Heartworks - Aug 12Looking for rewarding and fun volunteer work? An Information/Orientation Session will be held at HeartWorks on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 2p for prospective volunteers.
Take a tour of the facility and learn about this free program which serves Kindergarten – 8th graders attending schools in Pamlico County.
Many children need help with reading, writing and math. Volunteers are needed to assist experienced volunteers providing enrichment activities including Yoga, Chess, Drumming, sports and a Writing Club. A weekly commitment is not required.
On August 12th, enter the door under the stairs at HeartWorks, 709 Main Street, Bayboro.
The HeartWorks AfterSchool Program is a 21st Century Community Learning Center. Funding comes from a variety of sources including donations from the community.
