Endeavor 32 Auction at SailCraft
Now taking bids
November 20, 2020

F
rom time to time, boatyards have to deal with the odd abandoned boat. Some are willfully abandoned, owners no longer interested and moving on to other interests. Some owners run into financial hardship, unable to pay rent or have their boat hauled away. In the case of this abandoned boat, the owner is no longer with us.

Moku, a 1976 Endeavor 32, was hauled out earlier this year to have work done. The work was completed, but her owner passed away before he could retrieve her. Unable to contact family to come take possession of Moku, SailCraft Services is putting her up for auction.

Moku has had over $5,000 worth of work done, completed this spring. She’s been hauled, scraped, has new bottom paint, new zinc, barnacle barrier on the prop, and a new centerboard keel bolt.

As of November 20, the high bid is $800. SailCraft adds that the winning bidder will not be responsible for any previous yard bills; the new owner will have Moku free and clear. You can bid on her now through Sunday, December 6 by emailing info@sailcraftservice.com with your offer. The winning bidder will be notified Monday morning, December 7. Payment will need to be secured by that evening by 4p.

Moku is on jack stands in the yard. You’re welcome to view Moku from the ground, but SailCraft asks you please not climb on or inside the vessel. Questions? Call 252-249-0522.

SailCraft Services is located at 1218 Lupton Drive, Oriental, NC 28571.
