bout 150 souls braved a cool Thanksgiving morning for the annual Turkey Pedal bike ride. It’s a chance to work off the day’s meal before the food coma sets in.

The tradition requires no fees, no registration, and no spandex – though themed hats and costumes are becoming a regular occurrence.

Turkey on the move.

Participants meet in front of The Bean at 9a Thanksgiving morning and ride to (or by) the various boat yards and marinas in town.

Larry Summers opts for themed safety, decorating his bike helmet with a feathered mohawk.

Not every costumes was a turkey – this one was pumpkin pie.

The holiday increases the number of kids who can participate.
