North Carolina law states that you can’t fish for shrimp from sundown Friday through 5p Sunday. As a result, every Sunday afternoon during shrimp season you’ll find trawlers on the Neuse with their nets in place… waiting for 5p. At the stroke of 5p, the nets drop, and a new week of shrimping begins. Here Trawler Miss Darlene waits for the legal moment to drop her nets & trawls. (click pic for more trawler views)
