Saturday promises to be a busy day in Oriental. It’ll be Day Two of the three-day Oriental Boat Show at Pecan Grove Marina. Those who want to check out accommodations that don’t float are in luck too, because in the Village, Saturday it’s the Tour of Homes and Gardens.
Last year was the first Tour of Homes, organized by the Oriental History Museum and the St. Thomas Episcopal Church Women. They’re back with another 6 homes to look at and this time, in the Second Annual Tour, three gardens are in the line-up.
This month Laura’s drawing shows the scene on Broad Street, where the banner announces the event, amid some familiar landmarks — the Baptist Church Building, the Old Theater and Town Hall.:
