Abstraction and Form in Watercolor
Artists' Reception, Sept 4, 2-5p
September 2, 2021

M
imi Dixon’s foray into art began with pencil sketches and oil paints. In 2004, she expanded her artistic skills with watercolors, studying with New Bern artists Ed Macomber and Sterling Edwards to learn more about the medium.

She is the Village Gallery’s September Artist of the Month.

Originally from Kansas, Mimi now lives in New Bern. She creates landscapes, portraits, and florals.

More recently, she has been working in a ‘representational abstract’ style.
