Friday July 5
  • 3-4:30p Baking contest entries are dropped off by competitors, behind the Croakerfest booth at Freemason and South Avenue.
  • 4p 33rd Annual Croakerfest Opens with music from the Community Band and the Pamlico Community Chorale.
  • 4:45p Judging for the baking contest starts.

  • 6p Miss Minnow pagaent starts
  • Circa 6:30p – The baking contest’s cakes, cookies, breads – all of it – go on sale.
  • 6:30p Croaker Queen Pagaent
  • 7p (after the Croaker Queen Pagaent) Winners of Baking Contest announced from the stage.
  • 8p Street Dance with The Soul Shakers
Saturday July 6
  • 8:30a Booths at Lou Mac Park open
  • 9a – Parade line-up begins – stretching from Ragan Road to Broad Street.
  • 10a – Croakerfest Parade begins from corner of Broad and Ragan.

    Oriental is a town with parade skills
  • 11:30a – Parade winners – as determined by Ladies of the Neuse – are announced at Freemason and South Avenue. Custom-made awards bestowed.
  • 11:30a – Registration starts for Croakerfest Regatta (Regatta central is at end of Midyette Street.)
  • 11:45a – Kids Park opens on festival grounds on South Avenue.
  • Noon – Bluegrass on the Music Stage – The Boys From Carolina (with Tommy Edwards)
  • 2p Croaker Festival Regatta Races Start
  • 3p Coloring Contest winners announced. (Children 3 to 14, may submit their entry at the Croakerbooth from 4p Friday until 2p Saturday.)
  • 6p Vendor booths close.

  • 6-9p Street Dance (adjacent to Lou Mac Park) with The Southern Aires, a traditional swing band.
  • 9:30p Fireworks over the harbor (Shot from Teach’s Cove at the confluence of Smith and Greens Creek. Watch from the bridge – thousands do every year – or from the shore or a boat.
Sunday July 7
  • 8a Pitch in and help clean up at Lou-Mac Park
  • 10a Community Church Service at Lou-Mac Park. Bring a chair.
