Gospel, Blues & Rockin' BBQ
Singers (and dancers) come out to play
June 28, 2021

P
amlico County Arts Council held their 2nd Gospel, Blues, and Rockin’ BBQ concert at the Red Rooster behind the Silos Saturday, June 26.

The event celebrated the roots of American Blues and Rock: gospel music. Featured groups sand everything from gospel to Newgrass, Americana and Country gospel, to Blues, R&B, and Rockabilly. All with roots, said the Arts Council’s pamphlet, in Gospel music.

And to keep the crowds fed, Dan Edwards cooked up BBQ rib plates with beans and slaw. All proceeds went to the Pamlico County Arts Council and their mission to foster the arts in Pamlico County.
