ean Hardy Dexter, born August 18, 1927 in Midland, MI, passed away peacefully in her sleep December 23, 2021.

A stay-at-home mother in her early years after marriage, she was an artist at heart and pursued pottery and painting, using both acrylics and (her favorite) watercolors. She was a member of the North Carolina WaterColor Society and featured in shows from North Carolina to Michigan.

While she was born and raised in Midland, MI, the family moved within Michigan, to New Jersey, to Illinois, to Ohio, to New York and finally resting in the small sailing community of Oriental, North Carolina. She loved her little town and the people. She was lucky enough to live there for almost 45 years. She loved teaching others in workshops in clay forming and firing, collage and watercolor.
