PCC student Bricen Brown in a role as herald, greeted spectators to the Delamar Center.

Members of regional chapters of the Society for Creative Anachronism gathered, in costume, to dance to music of that era, engage in swordfights and otherwise share with spectators their knowledge of the Middle Ages. (It’s said of SCA that they celebrate those centuries (10th-17th) “as they ought to have been.”) Most of them offered two names.. the ones they were born with and their SCA personas.

The Craven Consort provided music and the New Bern Players presented a number of selections from Shakespeare plays. The rainy weather pushed all the activities in side, but despite that, there is talk of presenting it again next year.
